Years buzz past. 8 of them! In 2007 I had developed an audible wheeze. It followed me day and night. I knew. Knew it was time, past time, to Quit. I was up to 3 packs a day at times. My finances were such that $25 a day for smoking was difficult to support, so I began smoking rollies that year. Unfiltered ciggaretts. I knew that it was bad for me, it was such a terrible addiction, I couldn't seem to stop.
When the wheeze developed, I got scared. It did'nt go away. It grew louder. I leaned on my roommate, a smoker at the time, to help me quit by quitting togeather. He obliged. Today we both celebrate our freedom.
I'm calm, even though I have lasting damage from my years of smoking. I have added years to my life by quitting when I did. We can all do that. Draw on your determination to live life without ciggaretts in it. Haveing a support system is crucial. Lean on friends. Research the devestating effects smoking has on your body. Pledge daily, everyday.
Treat yourself well.......and you will be.
