Good morning everyone,
It is a snowy Sunday in Eastern Ontario and I plan to stay inside and get some homework reading done.
I am also in the process of reading Allen Carr's The Only Way to Stop Smoking. With my recent relapses, I have to seriously examine my state of mind and thinking about smoking. Obviously, I smoked because I still think there is some kind of benefit I will get in a crisis. THAT IS A LIE! But I have to undue the instinctual thinking that leads me down that path.
Pledging not to smoke today and offering my hand in support of all others who are not smoking or who have a desire to quit.
Gene, A non smoker
“Wouldn’t that be an incredibly stupid thing to do? To say ‘I never want to smoke again’, then spend the rest of your life saying ‘I’d love a cigarette.’ That’s what smokers who use the Willpower Method do. No wonder they feel so miserable. They spend the rest of their lives desperately moping for something that they desperately hope they will never have.”

Good morning Gene
Well, I'm not dragging an oxygen tank........yet. I'm able to get by with my puffers for now. If you need an absoulute reason to quit.......a diagnosis of COPD should do it. Each and every cigarette you smoke diminishes your lungs capacity to breath. All the small air sacs in your lungs gradually join togeather, creating extra large bubbles. Large air sacs do not supply enough oxygen to your lungs. COPD should be written on each and every cigarette. Of course COPD also includes palups on your lungs. These palups often become CANCEROUS. Any way you look at.........smoking = Death.
I'm pledgeing to offer my hand of hope and support to everyone. Bertram Copd statistic........
